Clinical Supervision for Counsellors,

Therapists and Organizations

Decrease your isolation and get support and guidance for

your private counselling practice or organization.

Some of the typical stressors and concerns that counsellors bring to supervision are;

  • Isolation.  For therapists in private practice you are isolated from other professionals. There are few people to bounce off ideas or talk to about clinical issues. For practitioners in busy organizations clinical supervisors often have many hats and responsibilities, that time for supervision gets put on the back burner.
  • Conflict of interest. In organizations supervisors are often in a manager role and have responsibility for performance issues with staff that can make it difficult to reveal personal struggles in your work. A very necessary part of your supervision.
  • Clinical Issues. Being stuck with a client, and feeling that you are going over the same material. Feeling over involved or under-involved in the therapy, wanting a greater understanding of therapeutic processes and increase your theoretical perspective. Feeling burnt out and suffering from compassion fatigue
