Counselling Services

Counselling is available for one on one sessions, couples and family. A free 15 mins phone consultation is available to determine the right way forward for you and whether I am an appropriate counsellor for you.

Video internet consultation is an option for those of you that are unable to come into the office or live out of town.

Making an Appointment

When you call to make an appointment you will generally be able to get an appointment within a week from the time you call.

Turning Point Therapy operates on a fee for service basis. This includes the time and expertise of your counsellor during the session, as well as preparation time.

Session rates are in line with suggested fees for Registered Clinical Counsellors. Sessions are 50 minutes long. Clients usually pay by cash or cheque at each appointment unless alternate third party payment has been arranged in advance. Some extended health benefits such as Great West Life and Pacific Blue Cross will cover a Registered Clinical Counsellor. You should check directly with your provider to find out what kind of coverage you have.

I also work with clients who have Crime Victims Assistance claims and WCB claims.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments.

The session that you book is time reserved exclusively for your benefit. Our cancellation policy is based on a fairness to you, the counsellor, and other clients needing appointments.

A session that is missed, rescheduled, or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice of your appointment time will be charged the full fee.
